Woman Claims Abuse From Psychic Hotline

Whether you believe in psychic readings or not, you can't miss the flood of television commercials for Miss Cleo's Psychic Hotline.

Curiosity led a Greensboro woman to call. But instead of hearing about her future, the woman says the psychic reader verbally assaulted her.

Miss Cleo's television ads say the hotline provides entertainment. But last Saturday night, the entertainment turned ugly.

A group of friends listened to the psychic reading on a speaker phone. They were so shocked by what they heard they taped the coversation.

99 cents a minute doesn't get you Miss Cleo on the phone, but another psychic reader identified only by extension number.

Andrea Williams says Saturday night that extension number 35888 told her unbelievable things over the phone.

The psychic told Andrea she was sexually molested as a child and now suffers from a host of problems. The psychic also told her that she was either a manic depressive, bipolar, and suffers from a multiple personality disorder.

Andrea says it didn't stop there. She says she was treated like a dog. Andrea wasn't the only one shocked by the psychic. Her friend, Aisha, says she was so surprised she taped the conversation.

Aisha says the psychic didn't tell Andrea anything about her life, he basically humiliated her the whole time. At one point during the taped conversation, the psychic tells Andrea he works for a wealthy homosexual, using an anti-gay term to describe him.

Andrea has contacted an attorney to discuss the possibility of a lawsuit.
